आईआईएम अहमदाबाद प्रवेश 2025: पात्रता, शुल्क संरचना
For recent graduates from various fields who want to pursue a career in management, IIM Ahmedabad (IIMA) offers a two-year, full-time residential Post-graduate Programme in Management (PGP). In 2025, admission to IIM Ahmedabad is primarily decided by entrance. Its flagship PGP (sometimes called MBA) program, which is a two-year, full-time, residential program that admits students based on a valid CAT score, is what makes this university famous. In prior years, IIM Ahmedabad’s CAT percentile increased to 99.6, indicating how challenging it is to get admitted to this university. Once CAT registrations open, the IIM–A admission season for PGP starts each year.
In addition to PGP, IIM A offers further doctoral and postgraduate management degree programs. These programs examine applicants using course-specific entrance exams, and a Personal Interview (PI) phase is usually part of the shortlisting process. The outcome of a number of entrance tests determines admission to all degrees at IIM Ahmedabad, after which there are other prerequisites.

Eligibility for IIM Ahmedabad Admission
To be eligible, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA. For candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), or Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories, this requirement is relaxed to 45%. The degree must be obtained from a university established by an act of the central or state legislature in India, or from other educational institutions recognized by an act of Parliament or deemed to be a university under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. Alternatively, candidates may have an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
Furthermore, the bachelor’s degree or equivalent must involve at least three years of education following the completion of higher secondary schooling (10+2) or its equivalent. The percentage achieved by the candidate in their bachelor’s degree will be determined according to the practices of the institution or university from which the degree was obtained. If grades or CGPA are awarded instead of marks, the equivalence will be based on the certification from the institution or university. If the institution or university does not provide a conversion scheme for CGPA to equivalent marks, IIMA will calculate the equivalence by dividing the obtained CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result by 100.
Candidates who are taking their final year bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification examination, as well as those who have fulfilled their degree requirements and are awaiting results, are eligible to apply. Such candidates must provide a certificate from the Principal, Head of the Department, Registrar, or Director of the Institution or University, confirming their current status as final year students or that they are awaiting final results, and that they have achieved a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent (45% for candidates from SC/ST/PwD categories) based on the most recent grades or marks.
It is required for a final year student who has received provisional admission to submit their marksheet and degree certificate from the final year bachelor’s degree examination, which must take place on or before June 30, 2025, including any supplementary examinations, to be eligible for the Post-graduate Programme (PGP) for the 2025-27 Batch. The submission deadline for the marksheet and certificate is December 31, 2025. If this condition is not met, provisional admission will be automatically revoked. IIMA will not allow any candidate to participate in its PGP if they have not completed all requirements for their bachelor’s degree by June 30, 2025.
