SSC Selection Posts 2025: Online Applications Invited
Online Applications are being solicited from qualified candidates for Selection Posts as detailed in Annexure-III of this Notice. The vacancies mentioned are provisional and the Commission retains the authority to modify/change/cancel/withdraw/merge any or all vacancies at any time if necessary. Candidates are advised to thoroughly review this Recruitment Notice prior to applying for the post(s) and to ensure that they meet all eligibility criteria such as Age-Limit, Essential Qualifications (EQs)/Experience/Category, etc., as specified. Candidates who succeed in the Computer Based Examination will be required to upload all pertinent documents on the Portal for document verification.
Failure to do so will result in the immediate rejection of their candidature. The Commission does not verify the information provided by candidates during the application process. Applications are accepted on a provisional basis, and a comprehensive review of the application and documents will be conducted by the relevant User Department(s) following the announcement of the Computer Based Examination results. The candidature of candidates who do not satisfy the stipulated eligibility criteria may be revoked at any point during the recruitment process without prior notice. The status of applicants will remain strictly provisional at every stage of the recruitment process.

For CG Govt Civilian Employees (CGCE) 2025
Central Government Civilian Employees must have completed a minimum of three years of continuous regular service (not on an ad-hoc basis) as of 01.08.2025. They must also remain in Central Government Service, holding a civil post in any Department/Office of the Government of India until they receive an Offer of Appointment from the User Department/Office where they are ultimately recommended for appointment.
To avail of the age-relaxation benefit, CGCE candidates are required to submit the necessary certificate in the prescribed format (Annexure-X) from the Competent Authority (as detailed in Appendix-I of this Notice) and also provide a Self-declaration as per Annexure-X(A) when requested by the Commission/User Department. Failure to do so will result in their age-relaxation claim not being considered. Additionally, candidates must present a “No Objection Certificate” from their Employer during Document Verification; otherwise, their candidature may be cancelled at that stage or at any point in the recruitment process.
Age relaxation does not apply to Central Government Civilian Employees (CGCE) applying for Group ‘B’ posts, in accordance with the guidelines outlined in DoPT’s OM No. 15012/2/2010-Estt.(D) dated 27.03.2012.
Note: If a candidate’s employer notifies the Commission about withholding permission for the candidate to apply or appear in the examination, their application will be rejected, and their candidature will be cancelled.
Age Criteria for SSC Selection Post Recruitment 2025
The age limit for specific categories of post(s) is specified in the Post-details section of Annexure-III for each category of post. The age limit requirements for different categories of posts are outlined below:-

Note: Please note: Age relaxation for candidates belonging to reserved categories is only applicable when the vacancies are explicitly designated for those categories. Candidates from reserved categories who apply for unreserved positions will receive age relaxation solely in accordance with the provisions for UR (Unreserved) candidates. It is imperative for applicants to thoroughly verify their eligibility for upper age limit relaxation and to accurately enter the appropriate Age Relaxation Code in the application form. The date of birth submitted in the online application must correspond with that in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate, as this will be deemed final for age determination – no modifications will be permitted thereafter.
Essential Qualification for SSC Selection Post Recruitment 2025
- Essential Qualifications (EQs) and Age Limits for each post are mentioned in Annexure-III of the official notice.
- The crucial date for determining both age limit and possession of Essential Qualifications/Experience is 01-08-2025.
- Candidates must ensure they meet all EQs and age requirements as of this date before applying.
- For posts requiring experience, it must be acquired after obtaining the required educational qualification.
- Internship, training, research, etc. undertaken during the course of education will not be counted as work experience.
If experience is an essential requirement, candidates must:
- Fill the experience details in the online form, and
- Upload self-attested certificates from a Competent Authority when called by the Commission/User Department.
- Failure to submit valid experience certificates will lead to rejection of candidature.
- Selection will be strictly as per the Recruitment Rules of the concerned post.
- Equivalence of qualification will not be accepted unless explicitly mentioned in the EQs for the post.
- If equivalence is allowed, candidates must provide official proof/documents issued by the Government or Competent Authority, or their application will be summarily rejected.
For posts requiring language proficiency, the candidate must have:
- Studied the language up to Matric level, or
- It must be their mother tongue if not taught in school.
- As per MHRD’s Notification (10.06.2015), degrees from Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode are valid only if approved by UGC or Distance Education Bureau.
- Candidates with ODL qualifications must present approval proof of their university for the relevant period during document verification.
- As per UGC Regulations (2017), Engineering, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, etc. cannot be pursued via ODL mode.
- However, B.Tech degrees from IGNOU (enrolled up to 2009–10) are considered valid, where applicable.
During Document Verification, candidates must produce:
- Original mark sheets of all semesters/years,
- Provisional certificate or degree,
- As proof of having obtained the qualification before or on the cut-off date.
- If a candidate’s result was declared on or before the cut-off date and they were declared passed, they will be considered eligible.
- Processing of results without declaration of pass status by the cut-off date will not be accepted.
How to Apply SSC Selection Post Recruitment?
- Submit Separate Applications for Each Post: Each post category requires an individual application and fee.
- Online Application Only: Access the application through https://ssc.gov.in or the mySSC mobile application available on the Google Play Store.
- Application Deadline: The final date for submission is 23-06-2025 (by 11:00 PM).
- Register on the New SSC Website: Create a new One-Time Registration (OTR) at [ssc.gov.in]; previous OTRs from ssc.nic.in will not be accepted.
- Aadhaar-Based Verification: It is advisable to use this method to prevent rejection due to issues with the photo or signature.
- Live Photo Capture: There is no requirement for a pre-existing photo; the application will take a live photo.
- Photo Guidelines:
- Plain background with adequate lighting
- No hats, masks, or glasses
- Full face visible, properly aligned
- Signature Submission: Must be in JPEG/JPG format, dimensions of 6.0 cm x 2.0 cm, and file size between 10–20 KB.
- Apply Early: To avoid complications from high traffic at the last moment.
- Review Thoroughly: Ensure all information, including photo and signature, is correct before finalizing the submission.
- One Application Per Post: Submitting multiple applications for the same post will result in rejection.
- Retain a Printout: Keep a physical copy of the application that has been submitted.
- Verification of Information: Providing incorrect details will lead to immediate rejection during the document verification process.
Application Fee SSC Post Recruitment 2025
- The fee required is Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only).
- Payment of the fee can only be made online via BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by utilizing Visa, Master, Maestro Card, or RuPay Credit or Debit Card.
- Women candidates and those belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) who qualify for reservation are exempt from paying the fee.
- Candidates may pay the online fee until 24.06.2025 (up to 2300 Hrs.).
- Applications submitted without the required fee will not be considered and will be rejected outright. No appeals regarding such rejections will be accepted. The fee paid is non-refundable under any circumstances and cannot be applied to any other examination or selection.
- Candidates who are not exempt from fee payment must confirm that their online fee payment has been successfully processed by the Commission/SSC. If the fee is not received by SSC, the application form status will be shown as ‘Incomplete’, and this will be indicated at the top of the Application Form printout. Additionally, the fee payment status can be checked through the ‘Payment Status’ link available on the candidate’s login screen. Applications that remain incomplete due to non-receipt of the applicable fee will be rejected without consideration, and no requests for acceptance of such applications or for fee payment after the deadline specified in the Notice of Examination will be entertained.
- The fee once paid is non-refundable under any circumstances and cannot be transferred to any ther examination or selection. Each category of post applied for requires a separate fee payment.
- In the case of post(s) cancellation, the fee paid for the cancelled post will neither be refunded nor adjusted against any other examination or selection conducted by SSC.
Scheme of Examination 2025
There will be three distinct Computer Based Examinations (CBE) consisting of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions for positions requiring a minimum Educational Qualification of Matriculation Level, Higher Secondary (10+2) Level, and Graduation or higher levels.
