BPSC Bihar Special Teacher Recruitment 2025: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has formally declared the Bihar Teacher Recruitment 2025 for the position of Special School Teacher, providing a total of 7,279 openings within the State Government jobs sector. The online application procedure commenced on July 2, 2025, and will be available until July 28, 2025.

The recruitment examination will include Part-I with 30 questions and Part-II with 120 questions, to be conducted over a total time span of 2 hours and 30 minutes, with a total of 150 marks. BPSC Special Teacher 2025: Eligibility & Roster

(i) A matriculation certificate or its equivalent, along with an Intermediate certificate or its equivalent, issued by a board recognized by either the Central or State Government, shall be deemed valid. A graduation certificate issued by a University established under an Act of the Central or State Government, or a University acknowledged by the University Grants Commission, shall also be considered valid.

(ii) If the 6-month teaching training in disability provided by the Rehabilitation Council of India has not commenced, the requirement for this qualification for appointment may be relaxed. However, if the candidate opts to undertake this training program after being appointed, they must complete it within 2 years from the start date of the training. Paid leave, as necessary (up to a maximum of 6 months), will be granted for the completion of this training program.

(iii) Candidates belonging to SC/ST/EBC/Backward Class and Divyang categories shall receive a 5% relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks required for educational and pre-educational qualifications. (iv) The qualifications for a special school teacher will be determined in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Rehabilitation Council of India. Should any provision outlined in the preceding context conflict with the regulations of the Rehabilitation Council of India, it will be automatically revised to align with the Council’s provisions.

(v) Degrees in specific languages conferred by voluntary institutions established by any society or trust will not be recognized as valid for the position of special school teacher.

Age Eligibility for Bihar Special Teacher 2025

(i) For special school teachers across all categories, the minimum age as of 01.08.2025 is set at 18 years, while the maximum age as of 01.08.2023 is as follows: Unreserved (Male) – 37 years; Backward Class / Extremely Backward Class (Male & Female) and Unreserved Female – 40 years; and Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe (Male & Female) – 42 years.

(ii) The retirement age is established at 60 years.

(i) In this initial appointment transaction, trained candidates who have successfully passed the Bihar Special School Teacher Eligibility Test, 2023 will receive a relaxation of 10 years in the maximum age limit based on the date of 01.08.2023.

(ii) The maximum age limit will also be relaxed for teachers who are appointed and currently working under the Panchayati Raj Institution and Municipal Body Institution, provided they possess the educational and pre-educational qualifications required for special school teachers.

(iii) According to the resolution from the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Bihar, Memorandum No. 2374, dated 16.07.2007, and the resolution from the General Administration Department, Memorandum No. 22218, dated 12.12.2022, a relaxation of 05 (five) years is permissible for regularly appointed government servants of the Government of Bihar. However, permission to participate in the competitive examination during this age limit relaxation period will only be granted if they have not utilized the maximum of 05 (five) opportunities up to that point. Should a government servant of the Government of Bihar seek relaxation in the age limit, it is mandatory to present a certificate issued by the competent authority.

(iv) In accordance with the resolution from the Department of General Administration, Bihar, Memorandum No. 962, dated 22.01.2021, in addition to the maximum age limit, a relaxation of 10 years is also available for individuals with disabilities. When claiming this relaxation, it is essential to submit a certificate issued by the competent authority.

(v) According to the correspondence from the General Administration Department, ex-servicemen will receive a concession of three (03) years in the age limit, along with the total duration of their service in defense, as long as their actual age does not exceed 57 years at the time of application.

To request a relaxation in the age limit, it is essential for ex-servicemen to provide the appropriate certificate.

Step-by-Step: Apply Online for BPSC Teacher 2025

A. One Time Registration (OTR)

(1) One Time Registration (OTR) is a prerequisite on the Bihar Public Service Commission website https://bpsconline.bihar.gov.in for online applications for various BPSC examinations.

(ii) Candidates must click on the New User Registration Button to initiate the OTR process.

(iii) The OTR will remain valid for all future announcements made by the Commission.

(iv) It is important to note that OTR does not constitute an application for any examination. Its purpose is solely to gather information from applicants and to provide each applicant with a distinct dashboard to help manage their profile.

(v) A valid and active email address and mobile number are essential for OTR. Please check your email for the OTP in both your Inbox and Spam folders.

(vi) Candidates intending to apply online for any examination advertised by BPSC must utilize the password provided during the OTR process.

(vii) Multiple OTR registrations are not allowed. Consequently, your application may be rejected or canceled if this rule is violated.

(viii) Candidates who have previously completed One Time Registration (OTR) while using the online portal must also ensure that they complete the OTR process again on the new portal.

(ii) To access the online application dashboard, candidates should log in at URL: https://bpsconline.bihar.gov.in/candidate/login using their mobile number/email ID and the password they created.

Note:-

(i) There will be no option to change or correct the candidate’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, or Aadhaar date of birth as filled in the OTR.

(ii) Applicants are required to upload the necessary documents for their application, which can be done through a Digilocker Account.

Register on DigiLocker for Bihar Teacher Application 2025

(i) The Meri Pehchan Portal of Digilocker will become accessible once the OTR process is finalized. Candidates possessing a Digilocker account must log in by granting consent for their Digilocker account to OAMS. Conversely, if the applicant lacks a Digilocker account, they may create one by signing up and subsequently complete the process by providing consent for Digilocker to OAMS.

(ii) Should the applicant have previously uploaded documents to Digilocker and granted access to OAMS, they can directly link those documents to OAMS from that location.

(iii) If the applicant prefers not to use the Digilocker portal, they can return to the online application portal by clicking the Back () button on their browser. The further process can be completed by entering the login credentials on the online application portal.

Bihar Teacher Recruitment: Profile Setup Instructions

There are six steps involved in creating a profile. They are outlined as follows:-.

Step 1: Personal Information In this initial step, the applicant must provide certain mandatory details, including caste and category information (UR, EWS, BC, EBC, SC, and ST). Additionally, the applicant is required to disclose any disability information, sports participation, ex-servicemen status, NCC cadet involvement, and government employment. Finally, the applicant must click the save button.

Step 2: Address Details: In this step, the applicant is required to enter their permanent address, which includes the address, state, district, and pin code. Subsequently, the applicant must provide their correspondence address. If the permanent address is identical to the correspondence address, the applicant may select the option ‘Same as Above.’ Finally, the applicant must click the save button.

Step 3: Other Details: In this step, if there are any criminal proceedings or punishment records against the applicant, these must be disclosed. Finally, the applicant must click the save button.

Step 4: Qualification Details: In this step, the applicant is required to input their educational qualifications. The applicant should provide information up to at least the 10th and 12th grades. This includes entering educational qualifications (selected from the available options in the dropdown), the name of the qualification, subjects studied, state, board/university, qualification status (Completed or Appearing), date of passing, attempts, marks obtained, total marks, percentage.

(As per the university attended), number of academic months, class or category, mode of study (Distance or Regular), compulsory subjects, optional subjects, seat or roll number, and year of passing. After thoroughly completing the qualification details, it is essential to save the information by clicking the Add button. Finally, the applicant must click the save button.

Step 5: Information Related to Experience: In this stage, if the applicant possesses any pertinent work experience, they must select Yes; otherwise, they should choose No. If Yes is selected, the applicant is required to provide details regarding their work experience (current or previous), type of employment, the department in which they are or were employed, the name of the institution under the Bihar Government, their designation, grade pay, basic salary, and the date from which they have been working. After thoroughly completing the work experience details, it is essential to save the information by clicking the Add button. Ultimately, the applicant must click on the save button.

Step 6: Photo, Signature, and Profile Lock: In this phase, the applicant will need a webcam to capture their live photograph. Subsequently, they must upload one signature in English and one in Hindi. The signature image should not exceed 20kb in size, with a width ranging from 150 to 220 pixels and a height between 250 and 320 pixels. After this, the applicant should click on the Save button. Finally, the applicant must confirm that all provided information is accurate by checking the box, and then they need to click on Submit and Lock Profile.

Note:-

(i) Following the One Time Registration (OTR), should there be any inaccuracies in the information entered under the Profile Tab, the candidate has the option to unlock their profile and amend it by rectifying the incorrect details.

(ii) Once the Profile has been created and the application has been submitted in response to the relevant advertisement, there is no opportunity to modify any information provided in the application. Upon selecting Lock Profile, the applicant will be able to view the list of Active Advertisements under the New Advertisement Tab only after the profile has been locked.

(iii) If an application is submitted for any advertisement after the profile has been locked, no corrections or changes will be permitted for any details provided in that advertisement.

How to Apply Fresh for BPSC Teacher Recruitment 2025

  • After creating an applicant profile, all ongoing advertisements can be viewed in the New Application Tab. To proceed, click on the View Button, check advertisement criteria, and complete the payment by selecting Submit & Pay Fees.
  • Once the application form and payment are completed, applicants can view their submitted advertisements under the My Account Tab. Options available include Application Form Print, Cancel Application, Pay Now (if payment is pending), and Payment History.
  • If there is an error in the application form, applicants must cancel their application and fill out a new form. Note that no payment will be refunded after cancellation.
  • The Commission is not liable for errors made by candidates in the online application or for not following detailed instructions.
  • Any discrepancies between the online application and original certificates/mark sheets will result in cancellation of candidature.
  • Online fees should only be deposited after verifying personal details such as name, date of birth, category, and examination fee.
  • Applicants must keep their provided email and mobile number secure until the final result is published and should not use someone else’s contact information.
  • The Commission is not responsible for internet or banking issues; candidates are advised to complete all procedures well before deadlines.
  • Candidates should upload a clear photograph taken via webcam during the online application process.
  • Signatures in both Hindi and English must be scanned and uploaded clearly in the designated area of the application.
  • Candidates are advised to keep four copies of recent photographs for submission if required by the Commission.
