The Directorate of Education in Delhi has released a significant notification regarding the initiation of the admission process for entry-level classes in all Private Schools in accordance with the RTE Act. The online registration will commence on February 3, 2025, with the deadline for submitting online applications set for February 19, 2025. The lottery draw will take place on April 5, 2025.
The online application process for Delhi EWS Admission 2025-26 is now available. Students from the Economically Weaker Section or those from low-income families are encouraged to register online for admission to private schools in Delhi. Children aged between 3 to 7 years are eligible to apply for the Delhi EWS admission application form at https://www.edudel.nic.in.
The term EWS/DG Category refers to specific classifications within social welfare frameworks. EWS denotes Economically Weaker Section, while DG signifies Disadvantaged Group. Individuals classified under the EWS category include children whose parents have an annual family income from all sources that is less than one lakh rupees.

Age Limit for Delhi EWS Admission 2025-26
You may choose any number of schools located within a distance of 6 kilometers, while the maximum number of schools you can select beyond this distance is limited to five. The selection process will be conducted using a computerized lottery or draw of lots system.

Delhi EWS Nursery Admission 2025-26 Apply Online

What documents are necessary for the EWS/DG category?
For Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Category:
- An income certificate issued by a Revenue Officer of at least the rank of Tehsildar, or a BPL/AAY/Food Security Card provided by the Food and Civil Supply Department of the Government of NCT of Delhi.
For Disadvantaged Group (DG) Category:
- A certificate for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer) issued by a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar from the Government of NCT of Delhi.
- For children with special needs or disabilities: a certificate issued by a government hospital.
- For orphans and transgender individuals: appropriate documentary evidence.
- Documentation for children living with or affected by HIV.
