Online Lottery System in KVS Admission 2025-26
Selection Method in Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2025-26: According to the KVS guidelines for the academic year 2025-26, each Kendriya Vidyalaya is required to allocate 10 seats (out of a total of 40) in class 1 per section in accordance with the provisions of the Right to Education (RTE) Act, which mandates that 25% of seats be reserved. These seats will be filled through a ‘Draw of Lots’ system, encompassing applications from candidates belonging to SC, ST, EWS, BPL, and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) categories, all of whom must be residents of the neighborhood and include differently-abled individuals.
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has developed an online lottery software, and the list of eligible candidates across all categories has been uploaded. By clicking the ‘Create RTE Lottery‘ button, the software will randomly shuffle the selection list, and the results will be displayed immediately on the screen. The list will now include the ‘Application Submission Code’, Serial Number, and Name.
How to conduct KVS ‘Draw of Lots’ in 2025-26?
The management of Kendriya Vidyalaya will constitute a committee consisting of five members to monitoring the Draw of Lots process for Class 1 or any other applicable class (for offline mode only) in instances where the number of candidates from a particular category surpasses the number of available seats. The Principal of the respective Kendriya Vidyalaya will serve as the coordinator for the Draw of Lots event.
