Who qualifies for MP RTE Admission 2026-27?

Eligibility Criteria for MP RTE Admission 2026-27

Eligible groups include:

  • Children from families living below the poverty line (BPL)
  • Orphaned children identified as part of vulnerable groups by the state government
  • Beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Covid-19 Bal Kalyan Yojana

Specifically eligible applicants under the Yojana:

  • Families with a husband, wife, and dependent children where both parents died due to Covid-19
  • Families where both the legal guardian and the parent died from Covid-19
  • Families where one parent had previously died and the other died from Covid-19

Note: “Death from Covid-19” refers to any death that occurred between 1 March 2021 and 30 June 2021.

How Selection Is Done in MP RTE Admission 2026-27

The registration process for the MP admission portal for the academic year 2026-27 is strictly limited to candidates who fulfill the eligibility requirements related to age and the distance from their home to the school.

The selection process is carried out in a transparent and open manner through a Draw of Lots system. This method is entirely based on the luck of the individual.

In cases where the number of applications surpasses the number of available seats, the lottery system will be applied in accordance with RTE regulations. After the lottery has been conducted, a selection list and a waiting list will be created for all applicants who have registered. The final selection will be made based on these lists.
