Eligibility Criteria of SSC CGL 2025

2025 SSC CGL Education Qualification
A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent is required. Candidates who are in their final year of graduation may also apply; however, they must have the essential qualifications by 01-08-2025.
- A bachelor’s degree from any accredited university with at least 60% in mathematics from class 12 or in any discipline with statistics as a required subject at graduation is required for junior statistical officers (JSOs).
- A graduation degree from any accredited university with mathematics, statistics, or economics as a required or elective subject is required for the position of statistical investigator (grade II).
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or institute and at least one year of research experience at any accredited university or research institution are prerequisites for the position of research assistant with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).
- A bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited university is required for the remaining positions.

SSC CGL Application Fee 2025 Details
When submitting their SSC CGL application online at www.ssc.gov.in, aspirants must pay Rs. 100. Candidates who are women or who belong to the SC, ST, PwBD, or ESM groups are eligible for reservations and are not required to pay the application fee. BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay debit cards are the only ways to pay the application cost online.

SSC OTR Clarification Issued on 17.6.2025
Clarification concerning changes to the details in the OTR (One Time Registration) form of SSC: Candidates are kindly advised to refer to the Commission’s notice dated 09.05.2025, which stated that the One Time Registration (OTR) will be enabled with Aadhaar for the 2025 examination cycle and thereafter, starting from 02.06.2025. Furthermore, candidates were notified that the opportunity to edit the current One Time Registration form (OTR) would only be available until 31.05.2025. Nevertheless, the Commission has received numerous representations regarding candidates’ difficulties in modifying OTR details, particularly those pertaining to OBC/EWS category status and educational qualifications. Consequently, the Commission has resolved to permit candidates to correct or modify their existing OTR details from 19.06.2025 to 30.06.2025.
