Important Announcement: The School Education Department of Chhattisgarh has announced an extension for the application deadline for student registration for the 2025-26 academic session under the Right to Education (RTE) Act. The new deadline is now set for April 8, 2025, instead of the previous date of March 31, 2025.
Chhattisgarh RTE Admission Form 2025-26 Notification: In the previous year, over 50,000 underprivileged children were enrolled in private schools in Chhattisgarh, receiving completely free and high-quality education under the Right to Education Act (RTE). This initiative significantly benefits children from below the poverty line and those belonging to socially and economically weaker sections. The admission process, both online and offline, will commence shortly in Chhattisgarh, with an official notification anticipated in the near future. Last year, the RTE admission process faced some disruptions due to the General Elections; however, this year, the education department is fully prepared to facilitate the admission process for all government-aided private schools.

CG RTE Admission Form 2025-26 Application Form Process
When completing the application, please consider the following guidelines:
- Address – After selecting the district and development block, indicate whether the area is urban or rural.
- For urban areas, provide the details of the urban body, including the ward and locality.
- For rural areas, include the information pertaining to the gram panchayat, village, and locality.
- In the section for student details, enter the student’s name, date of birth, gender, and Aadhaar number (note that the Aadhaar number is optional).
- In the section for parent details, include the names of the student’s mother and father or the parent’s name, their mobile number, caste (ST/SC/OBC/General), and complete address.
Subsequently, the applicant must select the necessary documents, which include:
- Birth certificate – The child’s birth certificate can be one of the following: ANM registered card, Anganwadi card, hospital birth certificate, or a self-certified letter confirming the date of birth signed by parents or guardians.
CG RTE Admission Form 2025-26 Eligibility Criteria
Age Calculation for Applicants as of 31-03-2025
- For nursery class, the age must be between 3 years and 4 years. For KG-1, the age should range from 4 years to 5 years.
- The age requirement for KG-1 is between 4 years and 5 years.
- For class 1, the age must be between 5 years and 6 years and 6 months.
Address Verification Requirements: To verify the address, the following documents may be submitted: Parent’s residence certificate (such as Aadhar Card, Ration Card, Bank Statement or Passbook, Voter ID Card, Driver’s License, Gas Connection Bill dated within the last 3 months, Kisan Photo Passbook (KCC Card), Registered Lease/Sale/Rent Agreement (Kiryaanama), MNREGA Job Card, Passport, or an Address Certificate attested by the Sarpanch or an equivalent authority (Up-Sarpanch or Secretary) for rural areas). Additionally, an Address Certificate with a photo attested by an MLA, MP, Tehsildar, or Gazetted Officer on their official letterhead may also be provided.
