Is it possible to apply to many schools using the KVS admission site for 2025–2026?

For the academic year 2025–2026, is it acceptable to apply to more than one school via the KVS admission portal? Applications for children may be submitted by parents to a maximum of three Kendriya Vidyalayas near their home, for any class, including Balvatika-1, Balvatika-3, and Class-1. The applicants are advised not to submit more than one application to the same Vidyalaya for the same child. Only the most current application will be taken into consideration throughout the admissions process if more than one registration form is submitted for the same child at a single Kendriya Vidyalaya. Additionally, each shift shall be treated as a separate Vidyalaya for admission reasons if a Kendriya Vidyalaya operates in double shifts.

How can I obtain the KVS Portal 2025–2026 Application Submission Code?

You will obtain a special Application Submission Code—which is different from the Login Code—after filling out and submitting the online application form on the KVS admission site for 2025–2026. An application form becomes uneditable after it has been submitted and an Application Submission Code has been generated. It is imperative that you use this code in all future correspondence with the administration of your KV school.

In the event that the Vidyalaya grants provisional admission, a list of original documents needed for submission will also be supplied. The list of documents required for admission and your Application Submission Code should be carefully noted.

KVS Admission 2025-26 Application OTP Verification

Can I apply for both Class 1 and Balvatika-3 if my child was born on April 1, 2019?

The child’s birthdate must be entered in the KVS online application portal for admission. Please make sure you enter the child’s birthdate exactly as it appears on their certificate of birth, which needs to be issued by an official body. After completing the sign-up process, this information cannot be changed.

As of April 1, 2025, the minimum age for admission to class 1 is six years old, and the maximum age that can be accepted is eight years old, according the KVS admission criteria for the academic year 2025–2026. Therefore, for a child applying for class 1 in the 2025–2026 school year, the eligible range for the date of birth is April 1, 2017, to April 1, 2019. The date of birth must fall within this range in order to be eligible for registration.

When submitting the online admission form, a scanned photo or image of the proof of birth (in JPEG format, no more than 256 KB) must be supplied.

The Notified Area Council, Municipality, Municipal Corporation, Village Panchayat, Military Hospital, or service records of defense personnel are the places to receive date of birth certificates. The original date of birth certificate must be shown when a kid is admitted provisionally by a Vidyalaya; it will be returned following verification.

Distance Certificate Submission Only for Candidates Under the RTE Quota

The relevant region and sponsoring agency will be immediately presented when you select the state and school. After selecting the Vidyalaya, click the provided link to see its location on a static map. Please be aware that doing this may cause your browser to open a new tab with a map showing the location of the school.

A declaration form about the distance from your home must be submitted by applicants who fall under the following categories: Below Poverty Line (BPL), SC, ST, OBC (Non-creamy layer), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and Differently Abled. Proof of residency must be provided at the time of admission if a child is granted provisional admission under the RTE category. However, the absence of legitimate proof of residency alone cannot be grounds for denial of entrance.

RTE candidates must meet certain distance restrictions. For metro and metropolitan areas, the distance between their residence and the KV school must be 5 km, while for other locations, it must be within an 8-kilometer radius.
